Christine E. Valdez – President and CEO
Christine Valdez is the President and owner of Valdez International Corporation. Mrs. Valdez oversees operations and is involved in all aspects of the Company.
Before becoming President, Mrs. Valdez was the Administrative/Financial Specialist for three different companies, one of which she purchased ownership and changed the name to Valdez International Corp. Christine immediately focused the company on customer service, and emphasized that our employees are also our customers. Valdez’ policies of fast pay and fair benefits are largely responsible for the company’s’ rapid growth and strong reputation among both our customers and employees.
Clark Dyer – Air Force Academy Program Manager
Clark Dyer has 10 years of direct experience in federal contract development and 20 years of experience in contract management, organizational development, and small business operations. A distinguished graduate of the Yale School of Management, Clark has mentored numerous successful Small Business entities and has served on boards of directors of Native American, 8(a), and IT development companies. Clark’s recent experience includes contracted services as management consultant to start-up medical recruiter/staffer Catalyst Professional Services, (Colorado Springs), and contracted services as a management/logistics consultant during Hurricane Katrina Recovery, in Baton Rouge, LA. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BS), Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Yale School of Management, New Haven, Connecticut.
Michele Steele – Director Federal Operations (Midwest Region), OKC Program Manager
Michele Steele serves as the Midwest Regional Director of Operations for Valdez in Oklahoma City. Ms. Steele is directly responsible for contract management and execution, customer relationship management, personnel management and recruitment, marketing and business development. Prior to joining Valdez in 2001, Ms. Steele was a Project Manager for Science Applications International Corporation where she was responsible for customer relationship development and program management for Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs. Ms. Steele also served seven years in the United States Navy, where she worked in Naval Intelligence. Her education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems Management from Colorado Christian University, and an MBA from Regis University, Denver, Colorado. She is a registered member of several professional organizations including AFCEA and the Project Management Institute.
Valerry Duchak – Director Staffing Services
Valerry Duchak has been with Valdez International since December 2007. In her role, she is responsible for the recruiting process for the company’s internal and external hiring needs. Valerry has 17 years of I.T./Engineering staffing industry experience and her roles have included business development, recruiting and contract/proposal support. Valerry attended Penn State University and majored in Psychology with a minor in Business Communications.
Mick Erdle – Director of Strategic Development
Mick Erdle assists the president in developing and guiding Valdez’ strategic direction. He is responsible for the formulation and execution of strategic planning, including opportunity assessments, bid/no-bid decisions, new market development, personnel actions, proposal preparation, and contract management. Mick is a retired Air Force colonel and fighter pilot whose experience included commanding Air Force units at the squadron and group levels. He served in various leadership and staff positions throughout Europe, Alaska, and the Pacific theaters, including the U.S. European Command (Stuttgart, GE), Air Education and Training Command (San Antonio, TX), and the US Air Force Academy, CO. His education includes a Bachelor of Science degree, US Air Force Academy, a Master of Science in Aeronautics, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Masters degree in National Security and Strategic Studies, Naval War College, Newport, RI. He has ten years’ experience working in the federal contracting arena.
Peggy L. Clements – Executive Vice President
Peggy Clements serves as the Executive Vice President of Operations for Valdez. Ms. Clements is directly responsible for contract management and execution, customer relationship management, personnel management and recruitment, marketing, and business development. Prior to joining Valdez, Ms. Clements was Director of Government Sales for CompuCom Federal Systems where she was responsible for development of, and program management for, CompuCom’s GSA sales. After receiving her Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Bellevue University, she served in the US Army for 7 years as a computer programmer with her last duty station in Fort Monmouth (CECOM) as program manager for the US Army’s GPS Manpack program.
Pamela S. Westover – Vice President Human Resources
Pam Westover has a broad range of experience in managing virtually every aspect of small business operations. For 15 years, Pam co-owned and operated a small independent printing shop, managing all business functions from printing production to office management. She has also worked as a Customer Service Technician for an Internet Service Provider (ISP), providing customer service support and web design. Pam has managed Valdez’ HR department since its inception, balancing employee assistance with regulatory compliance monitoring.
Jon Lovitt – Director Federal Contracting Business Development and Marketing
Jon Lovitt serves as the Director of Federal Operations for the Rocky Mountain Region, which currently includes Northern Colorado and Utah, as well as the Washington DC metro area. Mr. Lovitt is directly responsible for contract management and execution, customer relationship management, personnel management and recruitment.
As National Marketing Director, Mr. Lovitt is also responsible for and oversees the marketing activities for Valdez nationwide. Well known and respected throughout the community, he has more than 30 years of progressive Information Technology experience including 15 years of federal government contract expertise. Prior to joining Valdez in 2006, Mr. Lovitt held executive level contract management and business development positions that included oversight of 150+ employees and contracts in excess of $75 million dollars.
